Postdoctoral position available in 3D-printing for nanobiotechnology : Solna, Sweden
Short background, motivation and scope:
Postdoctoral positions are available in the group of Prof. Helene Andersson-Svahn at the Div of Nanobiotechnology, School of Biotechnology, Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Stockholm, Sweden.
Responsibilities:
The postdoctoral researcher will participate in setting up a facility for modelling, fabrication, surface functionalization and bioactivation of a variety of geometries amenable for microfluidics, biosensing, tissue cultures and biomechanical investigations using state of the art 3D printing. Examples of downstream applications may be high throughput, highly multiplexed point of care diagnostics, tissue/organ models for pharmacodynamic/pharmacokinetic investigation with in-house immunoproteomic analyses (immunohistochemistry, antibody microarrays) enabled by the Human Protein Atlas (HPA).
Qualifications: PhD in the physical or life sciences. Self-starter, comfortable in interdisciplinary environments. Excellent writing and communication skills. Experience in molecular biology, cell culture, microbiology, clinical immunology, cell/tissue biomechanics, microfabrication, microfluidics, electric engineering and related techniques are advantageous.
