Applications are invited for Postdoctoral Researchers to join the Laboratory of Prof Caroline Dean http://www.jic.ac.uk/staff/caroline-dean in the Cell and Developmental Biology Department at the John Innes Centre, Norwich.
The laboratory focus on environmentally-mediated epigenetic silencing in plants has led into the mechanistic dissection of conserved pathways linking non-coding RNA, chromatin modifications and transcriptional dynamics.
The projects will include:
1) Determining the role of RNA secondary structure in sensing prolonged cold.
2) Analysing the role of antisense transcripts in transcriptional silencing.
3) Investigating R-loop regulation of transcription.
Successful candidates will be required to have a PhD in Genetics or Molecular Biology along with demonstrable scientific success.
Salary on appointment will be dependent on qualifications and experience. One of the positions could be at a senior postdoctoral level. The positions are available now and will be for three years in the first instance.
