摘要:

A postdoc position is available for up to 21 months in the Nanoelectronics and Quantum Technologies group. The group benefits from the use of state-of-the-art nanofabrication facilities in a newly built clean room of the Quantum Technology Centre and low-temperature measurement infrastructure of the Ultralow Temperature group at Lancaster. We also work closely with the Condensed Matter Theory group.

Your work will be focused on the experimental studies of superconducting and hybrid nanoelectronic and nanoelectromechanical devices within a project supported by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) and related to the rapidly expanding fields of quantum computing, quantum metrology and ultrasensitive instrumentation. The project aims at the development of cutting-edge technologies for the control and manipulation of single quanta of charge, flux, light and mechanical vibration which can possibly be employed in future nanoelectronic devices.

You should have or be close to having a PhD degree in physics or an appropriate field. Applicants with experience in measurements using microwave and pulse techniques (readout of qubits, measurement of superconducting resonators, rf-SET, nanomechanical resonators, etc.) are greatly appreciated. Also, applicants with experience in other types of low-temperature nanoelectronic devices are strongly encouraged to apply. Furthermore, applications from researchers with no previous knowledge on the subject but an excellent track record are welcome.

Lancaster University Physics Department is strongly committed to fostering diversity within its community as a source of excellence, cultural enrichment, and social strength. We welcome those who would contribute to the further diversification of our department.
