乔治亚理工学院招收生物工程博士后
Post-Doctoral Research Fellow - Temenoff Lab : Atlanta, GA, United States
Description: An immediate opening in an orthopaedic tissue engineering laboratory is available for a post-doctoral fellow to work on an NIH-funded project to assess the effect of local release of agents that promote extracellular matrix (ECM) production on tendon healing in supraspinatus (rotator cuff) tendon overuse injuries. Primary responsibilities will be to develop controlled-release formulations from novel polymeric carrier materials and test release in vitro, as well as perform in vivo tendon healing studies with these materials, including histology and ECM protein assays. Participation in preparation of grant proposals will also be expected.
Qualifications: A Ph.D. in bioengineering, chemical engineering, pharmacy, or chemistry with significant experience in small animal surgical procedures is required. Experience in protein biochemical assays (Westerns, enzyme activity) is strongly preferred.
To apply: Applicants should submit a CV (including 3 potential references) and a letter describing their research interests to Dr. Temenoff via e-mail (johnna.temenoff@bme.gatech.edu)….
