Applications are invited for an AICR-funded postdoctoral position in the group of Dr. Gyula Timinszky. The research group is part of the Butenandt Institute of the Ludwig Maximilians University of Munich. The department is located on the Martinsried campus in the immediate vicinity of the Max Planck Institute, the Biocenter and the Gene Center, ensuring a lively scientific environment.

The project
The successful applicant will study the regulation of chromatin structure and dynamics upon DNA damage, specifically, the role of PIM kinases in modulating chromatin and DNA damage signaling. The project will be carried out in close collaboration with the team of Dr Sébastien Huet at the University of Rennes 1 (France) involving research stays in Dr. Huet’s laboratory. Our approaches involve quantitative live cell imaging, cellular assays and molecular biology.
