Job Description
A post-doctoral fellow position is immediately available for a recent Ph.D. or MD/Ph.D in biomedical science, preferably in biochemistry or molecular biology. The laboratory focuses on DNA damage caused by the mutator enzyme Activation-Induced Cytidine Deaminase (AID). The position is for a research project on the biochemical and molecular aspects that control AID enzyme function. Expertise in biochemistry and protein purification are required and a background in enzyme assays and structural modeling is preferred. The candidate must have a first-authored publication in a highly regarded scientific journal(s) and have a demonstrated ability of independent experimental design and research. Previous experience in scientific writing or grant preparation in English is preferred. This position is located at the Science Park campus in Smithville, Texas.
