Basic qualifications:
• Ph.D. degree and/or a M.D./Ph.D. in molecular/cellular biology or biochemistry.
• A demonstrated history of excellence in mitochondrial biology or DNArepair including a strong publication record compatible with the level of experience.
• A background in enzymology, cellular signalling or optical imaging instrumentation is highly advantageous.
• Must be able to interact with a multi-disciplinary team of drug hunters to discover novel medicines in this emerging area of science.
• Ability to understand, interpret, and communicate complex scientific data
• Must be comfortable conversing with opinion leaders regarding highly technical information
• Must be a self-starter able to handle multiple projects concurrently
• Possess a good balance of creative and analytical skills

Preferred qualifications:
PhD with 1-2 years experience
• Strong communication skills
• Experience in genetics and its relationships to complex chronic degenerative diseases is preferred
