英国牛津大学招聘视觉系统成像博士后助理研究员
Postdoctoral Research Assistant in Neuroimaging of the Visual System
University of Oxford
Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences, John Radcliffe Hospital, Headington, Oxford
Grade 7: £29,837 - £36,661 p.a.
The Centre for Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging of the Brain (FMRIB) seeks a postdoctoral researcher to work with Dr Holly Bridge and Professor Andrew Parker (DPAG). The post is funded by the Medical Research Council (MRC) as part of a new programme of work in binocular vision and stereopsis, and will involve high-field functional MRI using the 7T system in FMRIB.
Working as part of a team of research staff and graduate students, the postholder will be responsible for setting up and running fMRI experiments on the human 3T and 7T scanners at the FMRIB Centre. The role will include recruiting and interacting with participants in scanning experiments designed to investigate the perception of depth, both in those with normal binocular vision and those with deficits. The main location of the work will be at the FMRIB Centre, John Radcliffe Hospital, although the postholder will be expected to regularly attend meetings in the Department of Physiology, Anatomy and Genetics. Experience with MRI and/or visual neuroscience is desirable, as is the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
For an outline of the research currently undertaken and for further information on related research programmes see: http://www.fmrib.ox.ac.uk/research/vision-group-1 and http://www.dpag.ox.ac.uk/research/parker-group-1.
This is a full-time, fixed-term post until 30 March 2019.
The closing date for applications is 12.00 noon on Wednesday 14 May 2014. Interviews will be held on Tuesday 3 June 2014.
