This is an EPSRC funded position on Patient-Specific SAR Management for Parallel-Transmit Technology on Ultra-High Field MRI. You will develop a trustworthy and ultrafast SAR calculation approach for 7T MRI by combining the electromagnetic numerical solution with B1 mapping for the first time.
This project is a collaborative project with Nottingham University, Philips Healthcare, Pulseteq and Queensland University. You will be expected to collaborate with both academic and industrial partners on this project, and will be expected to regularly publish papers in international refereed journals, and to give presentations at relevant international conferences.
You will be expected to hold a PhD (or equivalent) in Electronic Engineering, Physics or Mathematics with relevant experience in numerical modelling or bio-electromagnetism. Skill of developing computational electromagnetic method in MATLAB or C++ is highly favourable. Knowledge of MRI Physics, parallel transmission at 7T and B1 Mapping is also advantageous.
This post is a fixed term contract for 14 months.
