POSTDOCTORAL POSITIONS supported by NIH grants are immediately available in a well-established laboratory in the University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute (UPCI), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, a vibrant city that is routinely cited as one of the most “livable” cities in the United States. The positions are for qualified candidates who wish to pursue a career in cancer signaling research. Currently, the lab is utilizing both established and state-of-the-art technologies and resources, including innovative inducible conditional knockout or transgenic mice preclinical models, as well as human patient samples, to elucidate the molecular regulations and actions of two potentially ‘drug-able’ novel genes that have been recently identified in the lab, for the prognosis, prevention, and treatment of human cancers, particularly breast, colon, lung, and hematologic malignancies.

The ideal candidates for the postdoctoral positions should have demonstrated a strong background in molecular biology, biochemistry, immunology, pathology, and/or cancer biology. Experience in working with mouse model and histo-technology is extremely desirable but not necessary.
