We are looking for a highly motivated researcher with a documented track record of successful research projects and a desire to do interdisciplinary research. This postdoctoral position will focus on the development of a graphical user interface (GUI) for MOSAICS, a software package for multiscale modelling of hierarchical natural moves in protein/RNA/DNA macromolecular complexes, but can also be extended towards building working models for molecular machines. The research will be carried out under the supervision of Professor Charlotte Deane, Dr Peter Minary, and Dr Bernhard Knapp as part of the EPSRC and Microsoft Research Cambridge funded 2020 Science programme (www.2020science.net).

Candidates should hold a doctorate in a relevant discipline as well as an undergraduate degree in software engineering or a related discipline. Experience in scientific computing, software development and structural biology is particularly sought. Excellent programming (Java) skills are essential. You will be expected to produce leading scientific research, publish results in top scientific journals, and interact closely with other members of the groups and collaborators.
