Grade 7: Salary £29,837 – £36,661 p.a.

An opportunity has arisen for a driven, highly motivated and enthusiastic Postdoctoral Scientist to join the research group of Dr Tudor Fulga. Funded by the BBSRC for 3 years, the position will provide a unique opportunity to work in a fast developing field.

The Fulga group is interested in understanding the role of non-coding RNAs in complex developmental transitions and in the pathogenesis of human diseases, as well as exploiting these molecules for therapeutic applications. Reporting directly to Dr Fulga, you will advise and lead in the research on small non-coding RNA functions.

You will hold a PhD in a relevant area, with experience working with RNA or neuroscience research. Previous experience in Drosophila genetics, HITS-CLIP technologies, or genome engineering is preferred but not necessary. A strong publication record is essential as well as the ability to work independently and under your own initiative.
