The person recruited will design and implement methods for encoding stories as (stochastic) Petri nets, simulating the execution of the Petri nets, computing the most likely Petri net simulation given a silent video, and generating narration for the silent video based on the chosen simulation.

The person recruited will be in charge of Rémi Ronfard, Scientific leader of the IMAGINE/ANIMA team.

Propose Petri Net structure for the problem of video narration
Develop interfaces for Petri Net simulation using existing platforms and tools
Assemble, annotate and publish data set of narrated videos and stories
Design and implement new methods for creating narrations from silent videos
Design and perform experimental evaluation
Write reports and papersSkills
Technical skills and level required : A proven record track of software implementation and experimental evaluation
in the field of video processing. A working knowledge of computer graphics and (stochastic) Petri nets is desired but not required.
Languages :Excellent speaking and writing skills in English are needed for this position.
Relational skills : Curiosity and open-ness. Willingness to share skills and knowledge with other team members.
Other valued appreciated : Hard work and respect of deadlines is an absolute necessity.
