  丹麦阿尔胡斯大学招收农业生态学博士后

The Department of Agroecology at Aarhus University in Foulum, Denmark, is offering a Postdoctoral position in role of cover crops for C and N cycling in agroecosystems, starting 1st of July 2020. The successful candidate will be based at the Climate and Water Section, Department of Agroecology, Aarhus University, Foulum, Blichers Allé 20, 8830 Tjele.

The position is available for a 3-year period. The successful candidate will work on the project “Optimizing climate and production services of cover crops in organic arable rotations (CCRotate)” funded through the OrganicRDD program (Ministry of Environment and Food) as well as related projects. The overall aim of CCRotate is to develop and document how different cover crop species and species mixtures can be included and managed in organic farming to improve climate and production services. We expect you to publish your research in relevant peer-reviewed international journals. You are also expected to contribute to more broadly communicate the research findings.

  Qualifications:

We are searching for a highly motivated candidate who has:

A PhD in agroecology, agronomy, applied biology, soil science or similar related to studies of agricultural production systems,

Experience in field studies of plantsoil C and N cycling in arable cropping systems,

Experience with effect of management (e.g. establishment) on cover crop growth and related services, including residual fertility effects in the short and longer term,

Experience with in situ isotopebased methods for plant-soil C and N cycling,

Experience with spectral reflectance or related methods to evaluate plant growth,

Experience with controlled laboratory experiments to study C and N fate in soil,

Experience with handling of large experimental datasets,

Documented teaching and supervision experience and scientific communication skills,

Documented ability to write scientific papers,

Experience with statistical analysis (preferably ‘R’)

Good collaborative and social skills, and the ability to constructively work within a team structure.

  Work environment:

You will be integrated in a group of leading scientists involved in interdisciplinary agroecological research collaborations both nationally and internationally. Mentors will be professor Jørgen E. You can read more about the department at http://agro.au.dk/en/.

  Application procedure

Shortlisting is used. This means that after the deadline for applications – and with the assistance from the assessment committee chairman, and the appointment committee if necessary, – the head of department selects the candidates to be evaluated. All applicants will be notified whether or not their applications have been sent to an expert assessment committee for evaluation. The selected applicants will be informed about the composition of the committee, and each applicant is given the opportunity to comment on the part of the assessment that concerns him/her self. Once the recruitment process is completed a final letter of rejection is sent to the deselected applicants, including the main considerations emphasized during the selection process.

The application must be in English and include a curriculum vitae, degree certificate, a complete list of publications, a statement of future research plans and information about research activities, teaching portfolio and verified information on previous teaching experience (if any). Guidelines for applicants can be found here.

Appointment shall be in accordance with the collective labour agreement between the Danish Ministry of Finance and the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations. Further information on qualification requirements and job content may be found in the Memorandum on Job Structure for Academic Staff at Danish Universities.
