SUMMARY

We seek a talented and motivated postdoc in with background in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology join Markus’s Ralser’s laboratory at the Francis Crick Institute’s Mill Hill laboratory, which will re-locate to the Francis Crick Institute’s main building in Euston Rod later during 2016.
Dr Ralser’s laboratory focuses on the understanding of molecular mechanisms that underlie the metabolic network. For this, the laboratory combines modern techniques of mass spectrometry with yeast functional genomics.
The Francis Crick Institute (the Crick) is a research institute dedicated to discovering the fundamental biology underlying human health, with the aim of improving the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of human disease.

PROEJCT SCOPE/ DESCRIPTION

The ideal candidate is hence either an experienced user in analytical technologies and wants to expand his/her knowledge in working with yeast systematic functional genomic approaches, or, is experienced yeast molecular biologist/biochemist and wants to develop his skills towards systematic proteome and metabolome technologies. In either case, the candidate is competent in the computational analysis of the obtained datasets, and willing to develop his computations skills.

Details of research projects currently being undertaken can be seen at: http://ralser.sysbiol.cam.ac.uk Research techniques used in the laboratory include functional geneomics, mass spectrometry as well as classic techniques of biochemistry and molecular biology.
