Exciting postdoctoral research opportunity at Texas A&M University!
An exciting and unique postdoctoral research position is available immediately to study lymphatic adaptation and its impact on organ function at Texas A&M University, College Station. A qualified candidate for this position is expected to have a Ph.D. in biomedical engineering or biomedical sciences with a strong background in cardiovascular physiology, excellent problem solving and organizational skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, and ability to work independently and as an effective member of a research team. Candidates with previous research experience in rat models, small animal surgery, and broad molecular and cellular biology techniques are highly encouraged to apply.
The successful candidate will join the interdisciplinary cardiovascular research group in the Michael E. DeBakey Institute at Texas A&M, a top tier research university. The candidate will have the opportunity to participate in all aspects of academic research, lead multiple projects investigating aspects of lymphatic adaptation employing a wide range of approaches at cell, vessel, organ, and animal levels, learn and develop new experimental approaches, present research findings at conferences, and publish manuscripts.
