瑞典卡罗林斯卡研究院招聘心血管药物方向博士后
Working place The postdoc positions are placed in Prof. Thomas Renné’ s research group in a modern laboratory at Karolinska Hospital Stockholm Solna. Our international team belongs to MMK, the Center of Excellence for Research on Inflammation and Cardiovascular disease (CERIC) and the Center of Molecular Medicine (CMM). The laboratory is funded in parts by an European Research Council (ERC) Grant. The group has established animal models to study the nexus of coagulation and inflammation and we have access to clinical material and advanced experimental imaging facilities. The position is initially open for a 1 years period with the possibility for an additional 2-3 year-prolongation and would be most suitable for an experienced scientist seeking his/her second postdoc or an independent research position.
Duties. The application is open for a highly motivated scientist with a strong background in vascular biomedicine and proven expertise in experimental thrombosis and inflammation research. The research project is focused on in vivo studies to analyze functions, regulation and targeting of a plasma protease, blood coagulation factor XII. For further information please see our web page http://ceric.se/research/renee.html and the recent publications of the laboratory. The applicant needs to have strong competence in running projects independently but also having good abilities for team-work and cooperation within a dynamic group of international scientists with broad expertise.
Entry requirements.
A doctoral degree within the area of biomedical research or corresponding foreign degree is required. A person is eligible for a postdoc position if he/she has obtained a PhD not more than seven years before the last date of employment as postdoc.
Applications of candidates with experience in experimental in vivo models of thrombosis & hemostasis, thromboembolic diseases or inflammation/infection models are highly encouraged. Documented skills in cell and molecular biology and protein biochemistry are beneficial. Competence within the area of coagulation and/or vascular inflammation is a merit. We support collaborative research with the University Medical Center Hamburg (UKE), Germany. The applicant will be evaluated based on education and previous experience, relevance for the project, publications track records, external funding, motivation and cooperative ability. Personal suitability is also an important criterion.
Application process. The application should be submitted via the recruit system NetRecruiter, and should contain the following documents in English.
- A personal letter and Curriculum vitae with qualifications, presented in accordance with Karolinska Institutet’s qualifications portfolio (http://ki.se/meritportfolj )
- A complete list of publications
- Brief summary of present and previous work with emphasis on animal models (max two pages)
- Verifications for crediting of illness, military service, work for labour unions or student organisations, parental leave or similar circumstances
- Letters of recommendation and two references including phone/email.
- Verification from the thesis defence committee or the equivalent (only if the thesis defence is scheduled within three months after the application deadline)…
