In its second year of operation, the Rice Scholar Postdoctoral Program is used to attract early Ph.D. career scientists with interests in systems and synthetic biology, multiscale optical imaging, and tissue engineering 2.0.
The selected 2016 scholar will conduct independent research in the laboratory of a Rice bioengineering faculty member who will serve as mentor during the two-year fellowship. Fellows are selected on the basis of academic achievement and the promise of their scientific research. A Ph.D. in a relevant field is required.
The appointment is a full benefits position that includes an annual salary of $55K as well as an annual $5K independent research budget. The fellowship start date is negotiable.
