Genetic engineering of mutant cell lines as well as of mutant mouse models and corresponding phenotypic analysis is expected including functional immunology and lipid analytics using modern chromatography and mass spectrometry.
The current method spectrum of the department covers analytical lipid biochemistry, development of mouse models, histochemistry, histology, and cell biology including cell culture systems.

Your profile:
We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow with a PhD / Dr. rer. nat. in a life science field to pursue and lead research projects on the molecular biology of (sphingo)lipids in the context of cell differentiation and cancerogenesis with creativity, ambition, independence and team spirit, who is willing to supervise PhD-students and to develop research projects.
