The Cardeza Center for Vascular Biology Research and the Cardeza Foundation for Hematologic Research in the Department of Medicine at Sidney Kimmel Medical College are seeking a Post-doctoral Fellow in basic research.

The postdoctoral research fellow will develop a project in the field of Vascular Biology. The goal of the project is to understand the regulation of junctions between endothelial cells, using in vitro and in vivo approaches. The applicant must have experience with in vivo mouse models including phenotyping of embryos and postnatal mice, as well as molecular biology techniques.

Essential Functions include:
• Collects and assembles data for any type of oral or written presentation.
• Independently develops scientific hypotheses related to ongoing work in the laboratory.
• Independently designs experiments to test hypotheses.
• Independently carries out or delegates procedures for experiments.
• Independently analyzes results of experiments. 
• Independently prepares oral and written reports for the P.I. on research to include, but not limited to: coherently and effectively communicating our laboratory research by writing abstracts, manuscripts, grant proposals and data reports for grants and oral presentations with corresponding slide presentation for PI, local and national meetings.

Existing research programs in Cardeza include Hemostasis and Thrombosis, Platelet and Vascular Biology, Hematopoiesis, and genetic and pharmacogenetic aspects of Thrombotic disorders. The Cardeza Foundation provides faculty and infrastructure support for Cardeza research programs.
