Post-doctoral Appointee - Radiation Research

We are seeking a highly motivated scientist to study the radiobiology of radium-223 dichloride in the context of broadening its use in radiation therapy of breast cancer. A variety of experimental approaches will be employed in this research project including cell culture, traditional cell survival assays, migration and proliferation assays, flow cytometry, bone histology, IVIS imaging, in vivo tumor models, and radiation dosimetry. The successful candidate is expected to play a major role in achieving the specific aims of this NIH sponsored research project. The Division of Radiation Research has a vibrant group of faculty, students and fellows who are working on radium-223 and other cancer-related projects involving HZE particles and low-LET ionizing radiation. In addition, the successful candidate will interact closely with external collaborators. Candidates should have a doctoral degree and experimental experience in the radiation sciences. Experience with radiopharmaceuticals is preferred.
