A postdoctoral researcher position is available immediately in the Division of Cardiovascular Disease at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. A highly motivated applicant is sought, ideally with prior experience in molecular biology and/or cardiac physiology/electrophysiology. The successful applicant will work closely with the PI on NIH-funded research projects studying the role of mitochondrial dynamics and dysfunction in the development of heart disease. The individual is expected to independently develop protocols and establish new methodologies in the laboratory, and to involved in summarizing and presenting scientific findings.
The applicants must have a Ph.D. or equivalent in a relevant discipline and demonstrated research productivity.
