瑞士佛里堡大学生物学博士后职位
A fully funded postdoctoral trainee position is available in the group of Prof. Dominique Glauser at the Department of Biology of the University of Fribourg, Switzerland, for at least two years.
Requirements
The candidate will have or be close to obtaining a Ph.D. in a relevant domain of biology. The ideal candidate will have a solid experience with one or more of the following techniques:
- Molecular cloning
- Chromatin IP, RNA IP, or DamID
- Genome-scale gene expression analyses
- Caenorhabditis elegans genetics
- Calcium imaging with GCaMP or Cameleon
Research project
The successful applicant will be integrated in a dynamic research team and be engaged on an SNF-funded project addressing how gene expression regulation in nociceptor neurons regulates their sensitivity. Briefly, state-of-the-art single cell type transcriptomic analyses will be applied in defined nociceptor neurons of C. elegans to identify candidate genes involved in desensitization. Then, these candidates will be characterized using RNAi, behavioral quantification and calcium imaging.
Application
The application package must be a single pdf file including:
(i) a cover letter (max 1.5 page), explaining why the candidate is interested in the proposed research thematic and detailing her/his relevant technical experience
(ii) a CV, including a list of written publications and oral/poster presentations
(iii) at least two reference letters, including valid phone numbers and e-mail addresses
Applications that do not follow these guidelines will not be considered.
