A postdoctoral position is available immediately in the Diagnostic Medicine/Pathobiology Department, at Kansas State University, Manhattan, KS. The position responsibilities include conducting research involving the development of cell-free media for culturing Ehrlichia and Anaplasma species, mutagenesis and to study regulation of gene expression in Ehrlichia species. The successful candidate will have obtained a PhD in a field involving bacterial molecular biology, or in a related discipline, have published one or more meritorious first-author manuscripts. Experience in molecular cloning techniques, protein studies, cell culture, deep sequencing, transcriptomics, and proteomics is preferred.
