摘要:

Project description We, together with other research groups have investigated how small chemical substances can affect bacterial infectivity. Our group is examining how small chemically synthesized substances affect infectivity of the human bacterial pathogen Listeria monocytogenes. The person employed will work multidisciplinary, in close collaboration with organic chemists to examine how the different substances affect Listeria pathogenicity. The infectivity of Listeria will be assessed by using cultured cells. The employed person will also examine how this substances affect Listeria virulence gene expression and intracellular behavior. The methods that might be used are the following: Bacterial cell-infection, DNA-manipulation (cloning, mutational analysis etc.). RNA isolation, protein isolation, Western and northern blotting, protein purification. Qualification To qualify for a position as post-doc you should have a PhD degree or equivalent in Molecular biology, Cell biology and/or Biochemistry. To be eligible for this position, you should have completed your PhD degree a maximum of three years before the end of the application period. You should have a documented (i.e. published) experience of work with bacterial infection of cultured cells (of special interest are persons that previously have worked with anti-infective agents). You also need to have a documented (i.e. published) experience of molecular biology work, RNA/protein isolation. A know-how of organic chemistry is beneficial. Additional skill requirements are, experience of working independently with research planning and implementation of experimental analyses, writing scientific papers, and good knowledge of English both in speech and writing. The candidate must be creative and have good interpersonal and organizational skills. Applications must include a cover letter with an explanation of why you are applying, a CV with a publication list, certified copies of certificates and publications and the names and contact details of two referees, where one should be your PhD-supervisor. We look forward to receiving your application!
