We offer a postdoc position (full-time, salary category 13 TV-L) at the Dept. of Psychiatry, Psychosomatics, and Psychotherapy, University Hospital Wuerzburg. The position is available for 3 years (starting July 01, 2015) with a possible extension for further 2 years. The possibility to habilitate is given and encouraged.

The postdoc is assigned to the professorship “Experimental and Clinical Psychotherapy Research” (Prof. Dr. Ulrike Lueken). Our research aims at investigating the neurofunctional and -structural substrates of anxiety disorders and their modification following psychotherapeutic interventions. We offer optimized research conditions within a network of multicenter research initiatives (Collaborative Research Centre SFB/TRR 58: “Fear, Anxiety, Anxiety Disorders”; national research initiatives on anxiety disorders as funded by the national Ministry of Education and Research). 3T-MRIs are available; in collaboration with the Comprehensive Heart Failure Center a 7T magnet will be available in 2016. Multimodal, particularly (epi)genetic imaging and translational approaches can be conducted in close collaboration with the workgroup “Functional Genomics” (Prof. Dr. Dr. K. Domschke) and the Division of Molecular Psychiatry (Prof. Dr. K. P. Lesch). Postgraduate psychotherapy training is supported within our department.

Desired experiences and training:
The successful candidate has graduated (Diploma or Masters) within the fields of psychology, medicine, neurosciences or comparable disciplines, and has completed his/her PhD with outstanding achievements. He/she has fluent German language skills. Extensive expertise in structural and functional MRI (preferably with SPM and Matlab) is mandatory (as documented by peer-reviewed publications). Programming (Matlab, Presentation) and advanced data analyses skills (e.g. multivariate pattern analyses, connectivity, resting state) are highly appreciated.
