Postdoctoral Research in Systems and Synthetic Biology : Pittsburgh, PA, United States
Seeking outstanding applicants for postdoctoral position available in the Department of
Computational and Systems Biology at the University of Pittsburgh’s School of Medicine
(www.csb.pitt.edu/). Research in the lab is generally focused on developing quantitative techniques and systems models to study dynamic properties of inflammation-induced signal transduction and transcription in single cells. The individual will carry out research projects in a BSL2/+ laboratory environment with mammalian cell lines using time-lapse microscopy, in addition to molecular and cell biology techniques. The ideal candidate will be independently driven and detail oriented with an eagerness to learn about single cell biology, quantitative imaging and systems modeling. Interested applicants should submit a CV in addition to a brief cover letter summarizing their research accomplishments and goals to RobinLee@pitt.edu.
Qualifications: We are interested in a motivated and independent postdoctoral associate with a PhD degree in molecular biology, or another biology related sub-field. A background in systems/synthetic/computational biology, or previous experience with quantitative imaging and genome editing tools (CRISPR/Cas, TALENs, etc…) is particularly desirable
