A postdoctoral position is available immediately in the Department of Breast Medical Oncology at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center for a highly motivated candidate with a recent PhD or MD/PhD degree in biomedical science (preferably in cancer biology) who has a strong interest in studying growth factor signaling pathways in breast cancer metastasis; the development of novel therapeutic agents that target this pathway; and the development of these agents into clinical strategies for patients with breast cancer. The successful candidate will have a track record as a successful PhD candidate and have at least two first-authored publications in internationally peer-reviewed scientific journals in one or more of the following areas: cancer biology, molecular biology, and cell biology. Prior experience in cell/tissue culture, basic techniques in molecular biology and cancer biology, immunofluorescence and experience in performing subcutaneous and mammary fat pad injection in breast cancer tumor xenograft model for metastasis model highly desirable.
