Job Description
Post-doc position, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Baltimore, MD – DNA damaged base detection
A postdoctoral position is available beginning as early as March 1st 2015 in the Department of Pharmacology and Molecular Sciences at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, to study mechanisms of DNA damaged base detection. The applicant will use biochemistry, cell biology, enzymology, kinetics, and other novel methods to investigate how DNA glycosylases search for damaged sites in DNA. Excellent publication record, a high level of independence and excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Molecular Biology, Cellular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field, and have no more than 2 years of relevant postdoctoral experience. Salary will be commensurate with experience according to NIH guidelines.
