Job Description
A postdoctoral position is available in the lab of Prof. Adam Aron (www.aronlab.org).
How do we control our inappropriate responses? What are the brain circuits underlying this function in humans? How can these be augmented via training or stimulation?
Candidates should demonstrate expertise in an area relevant for understanding fronto-basal-ganglia circuits for response control in humans. Good abilities are desired in behavioral/cognitive task development, and in electrophysiology and/or imaging and/or brain stimulation.
Candidates without experience in behavioral methods or cognitive psychology will NOT be considered.
There are excellent local research resources, including scalp EEG, ECoG, fMRI, TMS and patient studies (especially in Parkinson's disease). There is a broad psychology and neuroscience community at UCSD, moreover in a stunning location.
Applications (consisting of a cover letter describing your research interests, a curriculum vitae, and contact information for three references) should be sent as a single PDF file to Adam Aron (adamaron@ucsd.edu). Please submit applications by November 30th, 2014 to ensure consideration.
Preliminary interviews will be conducted at Society for Neuroscience in Washington DC Nov 15-19 2014. | |
