南加州大学生物化学方向博士后职位
A highly motivated and talented post-doctoral research associate is sought to work on the follow-up of a drug screen for two sub-types of Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease (CMT), CMT1A and CMT1E. CMT is the common inherited neuropathy in humans with many subtypes distinguished by age of onset, inheritance pattern, severity, and whether they're linked to defects in axon or myelin. There are no pharmacological treatments for any form of CMT at present. Our goal is to identify and validate candidate therapeutic small molecules for treating these neuropathies using biochemical and cell biological approaches and animal models.
A PhD/MD with a strong background in biochemistry, molecular biology and cell biology is required, preferably with experience in microscopy and working with animals. A candidate with least one first-authored paper in a high quality journal is preferred.
Applicants are requested to email a CV along with email addresses and phone numbers of three references to pragna@usc.edu with the term “Postdoc 11 – 14” in the subject.
