A postdoc fellow position is available immediately in the Department of Radiation Physics at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. The primary research project involves developing advanced image-guided radiotherapy techniques to solve scientific and clinical issues, specially focusing on the uncertainty analysis of deformable image registration for adaptive radiotherapy. The ideal candidates should have finished their Ph.D. degrees in computer science, physics, engineering or applied mathematics. Experience in medical image analysis, image registration and segmentation is essential. Programming skills in C/C++ and MATLAB is required. Experience with ITK, VTK and Varian Eclipse API programming is a great plus. Understanding in-room image-guided adaptive radiotherapy, IMRT, dose-response modeling, treatment outcome monitoring is highly desired. Good verbal and written communication skills are also important. The individual is expected to work within a large group of motivated interdisciplinary professionals.
