Research Imaging Institute, MRI Division, University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio
Positions: The Research Imaging Institute, MRI Division, at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, invites applications from highly motivated scientists at postdoc (2 positions) in the following areas:
Projects: Successful applicants will work on:
1) MRI pulse sequence programming or hardware (Siemens and Bruker)
2) MRI applications in stroke, TBI and retinal diseases in animals and humans
Qualifications: Applicants should have a PhD and/or MD in a related field, plus:
1) Experience in hand-on MRI experiments, in pulse-sequence development, Bruker or Siemens scanners, OR
2) Expertise in stroke, TBI and/or retinal diseases with interests in MRI applications.
About us: Our research interests broadly encompass the development of multimodal in vivo magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and 2) the applications of these innovative imaging technologies to study anatomy, metabolism, physiology (such as blood flow and oxygenation) and function in neurosciences from animals (mice to non-human primates) disease models to humans. Applications include stroke, traumatic brain injury, Parkinson’s diseases, diabetic retinopathy, and retinal degeneration and glaucoma. Our research group is highly interdisciplinary with expertise in medicine, physics, engineering, neurology, physiology, neuroscience and image processing.
Relative to this recruitment, the MRI Division houses the following laboratories
