美国贝勒医学院招收癌症信息学博士后
A postdoc position is immediately available at Wang laboratory, Baylor College of Medicine. The individual will join our integrative bioinformatics initiatives aimed at discovering cancer genes and targets from next-generation sequencing and genomic profiling data, and will be responsible for the development of novel analyses and bioinformatics tools to analyze whole-genome and RNA sequencing data, as well as to integrate other cancer genomic datasets. The main focus of our projects will be to discover driving genetic aberrations and therapeutic targets in cancer from next-generation sequencing data.
We are looking for highly motivated applicant who has a strong background and hands-on experience in next-generation sequencing data analysis and integrative bioinformatics. The candidate must hold a Ph.D. degree and has less than 3-year postdoctoral experience in a related field. Candidates with additional experience in cancer research and/or experimental biology are especially welcome.
Wang laboratory is a cancer genomics and molecular targeting lab at Lester & Sue Smith Breast Center and Dan L. Duncan Cancer Center, Baylor College of Medicine. The long-term goal of this lab is to apply a multiple disciplinary approach inclusive of bioinformatics, genetics, molecular and cell biology, and preclinical studies to detect driving genetic aberrations and qualify viable cancer targets on the basis of high-throughput biotechnologies. Please visit our website for more details about our research (http://www.bcm.edu/research/labs/xiaosong-wang).
