欧洲同步辐射设备研究所招聘阶段对比生物医疗成像方向博士后职位
The ESRF is a multinational research institute, situated in Grenoble, France and financed by 21 countries mostly European. It operates a powerful synchrotron X-ray source with some 30 beamlines (instruments) covering a wide range of scientific research in fields such as biology and medicine, chemistry, earth and environmental sciences, materials and surface science, and physics. The ESRF employs about 600 staff and is organized as a French société civile.
Within the Experiments Division, the X-ray Imaging group is now seeking to recruit a:
Post-Doctoral Fellow (m/f) In Phase contrast biomedical imaging at ID17
FUNCTION
You will participate in ongoing in-house research programmes, the running of the beamline, providing support to external users as local contact and develop your own research programme.
Our in-house research, performed in collaboration with users groups, focuses on the development of phase contrast imaging techniques (free propagation, analyzer-based, coded apertures) for biomedical applications. You are expected to contribute to our efforts at further improving the image quality and at reducing the dose deposited to the tissues, with developments at the image acquisition and/or image processing stages.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
You should hold a PhD in physics, computer science, computer engineering, or a closely related science. A strong background in X-ray imaging (acquisition and processing) and in scientific software development is required. Familiarity and experience with the basic operations of a synchrotron beamline, X-ray optics and detectors, or having used phase contrast imaging techniques are assets.
