Postdoctoral positions to start in 2015 at UCSF.

Our group is located in newly constructed laboratory space affiliated with the Cardiovascular Research Institute and the Department of Physiology at UCSF School of Medicine.

Using both C. elegans and tractable mammalian model organisms, our laboratory seeks to understand the molecular and neural basis of how animals sense and respond to changes in internal metabolic and energetic states to elicit behavior and maintain homeostasis. We take advantage of classic C. elegans genetic screens to discover novel conserved genes and pathways, and then validate their broad significance in mammalian physiology and models of neurological and cardiovascular diseases.
