3 Mindthegap Postdoctoral Fellowships : Lisbon, Portugal

Our new Advanced Postdoctoral Training Programme, the Mindthegap Programme, aims to attract experienced researchers of any nationality, or reintegrate Portuguese PhDs who have trained abroad, to provide them with state-of-the-art conditions of research, to develop their leadership potential and to position them for success as research leaders.

Overall, Minthegap Programme will recruit 6 postdoctoral fellows, through 2 sequential calls for applications:

- 1st Call (2014) is NOW OPEN: 2 Junior and 1 Advanced Positions; deadline October 17, 2014

- 2nd Call (2015): 1 Junior and 2 Advanced Positions.

Junior positions: for fellows who have been awarded their PhD (or equivalent doctoral degree) at least 2 years and up to 6 years prior to the publication of the call for proposals; Junior contracts will run for 30 months;

Advanced positions: for fellows who have been awarded their PhD (or equivalent doctoral degree) at least 5 and up to 9 years prior to the publication date of the call for proposals. Advanced contracts will run for 24 months.

Each Minthegap fellow will be offered the opportunity to:

- join an internationally competitive Group at IMM to develop an individual research project in a stimulating and truly multidisciplinary scientific environment;

- take part in complementary skills training activities;

- test the potential for technological development of his/her scientific ideas;

- benefit from an attractive work contract- including living allowance, travel mobility allowance and contribution to research and management costs- appropriate to a top research organization.
