摘要:

A Postdoctoral Research Fellow position is available immediately in the Molecular and Gene Therapy Program in Dr Dao Pan's lab in the Cancer and Blood Diseases Institute at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center. The research goal of the Pan laboratory is to combine translational and basic research on virus-mediated, in vivo and ex vivo, gene transfer into stem cells, as well as their potential application for gene therapy of patients with lysosomal storage diseases (LSDs). The project will utilize cellular, molecular and biochemical techniques with an emphasis on gene transfer into hematopoietic stem cells and hepatocytes, as well as their application in treatment for genetic diseases involving CNS.

For more information about Dr Pan’s research program see: http://www.cincinnatichildrens.org/research/divisions/e/ex-hem/labs/pan/default/

Applicants with a strong background in molecular biology, immunocytochemical analysis, and animal studies on hematopoietic system and/or central nerve system are preferred. Prior research experience with microRNA studies or preclinical evaluation of viral vector mediated gene transfer, FACS analysis, pathology analysis, real-time RT-QPCR and/or primary cell culture is a plus.
