Campus Description: Stony Brook University, home to many highly ranked graduate research programs, is located 60 miles from New York City on Long Island's scenic North Shore. Salary: $38,000 - $49,000Required Qualifications: PhD in psychology. Experience with psychophysiology/neuroscience methods.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with event-related potentials and functional magnetic resonance imaging. Experience with adolescent participants. Experience with structured diagnostic interviewing, especially with adolescents. Expertise with statistics and programming. Experience with grant-writing and publishing in related areas.
Brief Description of Duties: The Postdoctoral Associate will assist the PI, Dr. Greg Hajcak Proudfit, in the day-to-day operation of the lab and specifically with the objectives of this funded research project. The successful candidate will:
Oversee recruitment, study visits, and collection of data.
Perform data reduction, analysis and integration.
Write papers, chapters, grants and progress reports based on data collected.
Supervise and train graduate and undergraduate students.
Special Notes: This is a full time position. The Research Foundation of SUNY is a private educational corporation. Employment is subject to the Research Foundation policies and procedures, sponsor guidelines and the availability of funding. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Internal and external search to occur simultaneously.
