The Small Animal Imaging Research Program at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine is seeking a highly motivated and skilled organic/ medicinal chemist for a postdoctoral candidate position. Applicant must possess a Ph.D. in synthetic organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry or related field. The ideal candidate is driven, have the ability to work independently, and be a team player. Knowledge of characterization of small organic compounds (1H and 13C NMR, mass spec etc.,), and the ability to purify compounds from complex mixtures using flash chromatography, crystallization, and/or preparative HPLC is expected. Proven scholarship is a prerequisite. The successful applicant will actively participate in the development of novel cancer imaging probes in a highly interactive, interdisciplinary and translational research environment.
