A Postdoctoral position is available at the Department of Radiology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, Chicago, IL to develop novel nanotechnology-based platforms for the detection, prevention, and therapy of cancer. The specific research area includes (1) synthesis and development of carrier materials for targeted drug and imaging contrast agent delivery, (2) molecular imaging of small animals as disease models, and (3) image guided interventional therapy. Candidates should hold a PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Medical Science, Materials Science, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field. Experience in synthetic chemistry, materials science, nanomedicine, pharmacokinetics, MR/CT/Ultrasound imaging and cancer therapy. We are particularly interested in candidates who would be willing to participate in other interdisciplinary projects related with (pre)clinical studies. Also required is an exemplary record of peer-reviewed publications. The successful candidate must have strong analytical, oral and written communication skills.
