摘要:
The laboratory of Dr. Xue-Ru Wu at the New York University School of Medicine has a longstanding and intense interest in defining the molecular drivers of urothelial tumors (bladder cancer) along divergent pathways. This interest is being pursued through the development and analyses of genetically engineered mice (transgenic, knockout and knock-in), high-throughput profiling, in vitro overexpression and knockdown as well as corroborative studies using human specimens. Presently funded by the US National Institutes of Health and Veterans Administration, Dr. Wu’s group is taking a multidisciplinary approach involving several well-established investigators with expertise in animal modeling, signaling transduction and DNA damage and repair. The group provides postdoctoral fellows with unique opportunities to be exposed to a broad range of techniques and collaborative projects.
