This person in this position is responsible for the development, launch, and initial volume ramp of LED chip products. The technical requirements of the position center on back-end testing (electrical and optical), performance evaluation, yield optimization, and reliability assurance of LED chips. The position requires interfacing with customers as well as the management and ownership of chip deliveries for new products. The position combines aspects of R&D, product-line ownership, and integration engineering. The successful candidate will be a resourceful, hands-on, problem solver who will quickly grasp and resolve a wide range of technical problems while managing multiple development efforts. The person should thrive in a high-pressure, deadline-oriented atmosphere. It is expected that this individual has the education, desire, and ability to become a technical leader in the organization, which will lead to the opportunity for direct management of reports.
