瑞士巴塞尔医院大学基因研究博士后职位
The group Molecular Immune Regulation is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral scholar with a background in cellular and/or molecular immunology.
We are a newly established and well-funded research group in the Department of Biomedicine, a joint venture between the Basel University Hospital and the University of Basel, Switzerland. The ideal candidate should have a doctoral degree in immunology or related field. She/he should have experience with mouse models, cellular in vitro assays, multi-color flow cytometry and practical experience with molecular biology. You should also bring a deep interest in T cell biology and in exploring new technical approaches. Previous experience working with miRNAs is not required. We have recently demonstrated the importance of the microRNA cluster miR-17-92 for Treg and TFH biology (de Kouchkovsky et al., J Immunol 2013; Baumjo-hann et al., Nat Imm 2013). Current projects seek to deepen the molecular analysis of how miRNAs contribute to immune regulation and autoimmune disease. We use a broad repertoire of cellular and molecular techniques including reverse genetics, genome-wide target analysis and genome-editing approaches. The properties of miRNAs (fine-tuning regulation of multiple genes) pose particular technical challenges. We are therefore exploring novel ways of interrogating the functional relevance of complex lymphocytic genetic networks regulated by specific miRNAs. To this end, we collaborate with a computational biologist and a physicist.
