The Position:

CSIRO Future Manufacturing Flagship is looking for a talented researcher to join our multidisciplinary team as a Postdoctoral Fellow to help drive the development of a prototype microfluidic device. Your main role will be to investigate thermo and fluidic control techniques in microchannels and developing microfluidic device for biological sensing, device fabrication and integration, experimentation, data analysis and reporting. You will work in a team environment with senior scientists and technicians with expertise in fluid dynamics, thermal science, physics and biology. In this position you will contribute to the team’s strong scientific publication record.

The Postdoctoral Fellow will be mentored and will be responsible for:

• Experimental design, theromofluid measurements and investigation of thermal and fluid flows and the control techniques in microchannels.
• Device fabrication, testing, data acquisition and analysis.
• Reporting results to project leaders and other stakeholders and producing high quality scientific and technical outputs including journal articles, conference papers and presentations, patents and technical reports.
• Work as a cooperative team member and provide support and/or supervision of junior staff or students, etc.
• Develop innovative concepts and ideas for further research.
• Participate in CSIRO’s postdoctoral training program.
