POSITION: A postdoctoral position is open in in the Department of Cell Biology, Microbiology and Molecular Biology at the University of South Florida in Tampa. This NIH funded position is focused on regulatory processes in the virulence of Staphylococcus aureus, ranging from the control of gene expression to post-translational modifications.
TIME OF APPOINTMENT: A minimum of two years, with reappointment occurring annually, based on positive performance.
LOCATION: The position is open in the laboratory of Dr. Lindsey Shaw in the Department of Cell Biology, Microbiology, and Molecular Biology at the University of South Florida (Tampa, Florida, USA).
ELIGIBILITY: Candidates are required to have a Ph.D. in microbiology or an equivalent area, and should have demonstrated expertise in bacterial genetics, bacterial biochemistry and/or pathogenesis. Experience with next-generation sequencing technologies is also preferred, but not required.
