　　Due to the covid-19 outbreak, the work and travel plans of visiting scholars and post-docs has been affected. There are currently travel restrictions for people traveling to and from Mainland China, as well as other nations affected by the novel coronavirus.

　　由于新冠疫情爆发，海外访问学者和博士后的工作和旅行计划也受到影响。目前中国大陆以及其他受新冠病毒影响国家的出入境都受到限制。

　　Each university, academic institute, research facility, and/or hospital has set their own set of guidelines and rules to cope with this situation and ensure the safety of the population in general. If you were planning to go abroad on a certain date to develop research, it is possible your travel plans will have to be postponed. Countries such as the United States, through its Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, have raised its travel warning to its highest alert level, asking people to avoid all nonessential travel to countries with high number of covid-19 cases.

　　各大学、学术机构、研究所及医院针对疫情都制定了各自的指导方针和规定，以应对这种情况并确保全体人员的安全。如果您打算去国外开展研究工作，您的出行计划可能会被推迟。美国等国家已通过其疾病控制和预防中心将旅游警告提升至最高级别，要求人们避免去2019新冠疫情重创国家的所有非必要出行。

　　如果感到不舒服怎么办？

　　If you feel sick and think you may have been exposed to the coronavirus, please call ahead before visiting your health care provider. Symptoms related to the coronavirus strain include fever, cough, runny nose, headache, and/or sore throat. In severe cases, the infection can cause pneumonia or other complications.  Scholars who are not feeling well or who have questions or concerns should contact the Student Health Service of their universities. Also, all scholars should inform their medical providers of any recent travel.

　　如果您感到不舒服，怀疑自己可能感染了新冠病毒，请在就医前先提前致电医生。与新冠病毒感染相关的症状包括发烧、咳嗽、流鼻涕、头疼或者咽喉痛。在严重的情况下，感染可能会导致肺炎或者其他并发症。如果您感觉不舒服、有疑问或任何顾虑，应该及时联系其学校的学生卫生服务处，此外，所有学者都应该告知医生自己最近的旅行活动。

　　Universities and Medical facilities recognize that this may be a particularly difficult time for many Chinese Scholars, and that some may be feeling anxious and concerned about the well-being of family and friends in China. If you are feeling anxious, have experienced losses, and are struggling to cope and to come to terms with the impact of the coronavirus, please do not hesitate to contact the Post-doc& International Visitors Wellness Program or the Employee Assistance Program of your local academic institution for assistance and support.

　　大学和医疗机构认识到，这段时期对于很多中国学者来说可能是非常艰难的，一些学者为他们远在中国的家人和朋友感到担心和焦虑。如果您感到焦虑和失落、很难应对新冠所带来的影响，请立即联系当地学术机构的博士后和国际访问人员健康计划组或员工援助计划组求助。

　　Additionally, if you have experienced harassment, discrimination or bias related to concerns about the virus, you should know that as part of the commitment of educational, academic and research institutions to creating and sustaining an inclusive campus community throughout the Unites States, such behavior is punished; you can contact the Equal Employment Opportunity Office to file a report about such conduct. The U.S. is committed to a safe and welcoming community for all. International Scholars are encouraged to report incidents that are in conflict with the shared community of values of their chosen universities.
