　　A full-time Postdoctoral Researcher position is immediately available. The successful applicant is expected to play a major role in a NIH-sponsored project to study the ecology of oral biofilms, including molecular mechanisms governing S. mutans biofilm formation and interactions between S. mutans and Lactobacillusspp., two bacteria frequently isolated from carious lesions. A strong background in microbial genetics, molecular biology, and/or biochemistry is required. Typical duties include construction of targeted mutant strains, in vitro biofilm models, gene expression analysis, protein expression and purification, EMSA, Western blotting, and electron and fluorescence microscopy, etc.

　　Qualifications: Ph.D. in Microbiology, Molecular Biology and /or Biochemistry

　　Preferred Qualifications: Experience in molecular microbiology
