Three Research Fellow positions are available to work on exciting EPSRC projects in the field of evolutionary computation and its applications in CERCIA, School of Computer Science, the University of Birmingham, UK.
The projects require expertise in evolutionary computation and its innovative applications. The projects include theoretical analyses (e.g., run-time analysis and the analysis of approximation ability of evolutionary algorithms, fitness landscape analysis, etc.), algorithm development (e.g., evolutionary approximation algorithms, evolutionary dynamic optimisation, many objective optimisation, etc.), and innovative applications (e.g., in software engineering, network optimisation, routing and scheduling problems, etc.). This is an exciting opportunity for conducting challenging research in a world-leading group in evolutionary computation and its applications.
To apply you must hold a PhD in Evolutionary Computation or a closely related area. You should have demonstrated your research excellence through high level analytical, mathematical, and programming skills, and have a track record of high-quality research, evidenced by publications in leading journals and conferences, or by the PhD thesis.
