Postdoctoral Fellow – Indiana Center for Regenerative Medicine and Engineering (Nanofabrication)

Indiana University at Bloomington

Description

This is a grant funded opportunity with a specific focus on performing Investigations on the development of the microneedle-based drug delivery method using computational simulation to understand the drug delivery mechanism and optimize the design of the microneedles. Research on the design of the nanodevices toward the optical sensing of the biomolecules with high sensitivity working with the Indiana Center for Regenerative Medicine and Engineering.

The Laboratory of Dr. Yi Xuan in Department of Surgery and the Indiana Center for Regenerative Medicine and Engineering at Indiana University School of Medicine is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow to work on projects addressing the mechanisms of gene delivery and transfection. This opportunity will work with group members to develop multiphysics model to simulate the gene delivery process by using the microneedle-based chip subject to the applied electric field. Based on the established relation between drug delivery process and structure of microneedle, this opportunity will design and optimize the microneedles. Contributes to overall project management and cross functional working groups to facilitate development and finalization of the microneedle-based chip for drug delivery.
